The short answer
SpamTitan suits organizations of 25 or more users that want sandboxing and add-ons like archiving and encryption from one vendor. iBlockSpam suits small and growing businesses, and anyone with many mailboxes on one domain, that want a flat per-domain price, per-user quarantine digests, free DNS tools and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Competitor details below were checked on TitanHQ's own pages in October 2026. Prices change; confirm them before you decide.

What it costs at 10 and 50 mailboxes
Assumptions: one domain, list prices only, USD, excluding tax, annual terms where offered. SpamTitan's price is the published $2.40 per user per month with its 25-user minimum. iBlockSpam's price is per domain, whatever the mailbox count.
| Item | 10 mailboxes | 50 mailboxes |
|---|---|---|
| SpamTitan (billed for at least 25 users) | 25 × $2.40 = $60/month ($720/year) | 50 × $2.40 = $120/month ($1,440/year) |
| iBlockSpam Protect, annual | $12/month ($144/year) | $12/month ($144/year) |
| iBlockSpam Protect Plus, annual | $19/month ($228/year) | $19/month ($228/year) |
| iBlockSpam Protect, month-to-month | $15/month | $15/month |
The comparison isn't like for like. SpamTitan's price includes sandboxing, which iBlockSpam doesn't offer. If you also need archiving, SpamTitan's ArcTitan adds $3.94 per user per month on TitanHQ's pricing page. If your business has several domains, each iBlockSpam domain is its own subscription; see per-domain vs per-user pricing for multi-domain examples.
When SpamTitan is the better choice
- You want attachment sandboxing. SpamTitan describes sandboxing that detonates suspicious attachments. iBlockSpam doesn't sandbox.
- You want archiving, encryption or phishing add-ons from the same vendor. TitanHQ sells ArcTitan, EncryptTitan and PhishTitan alongside SpamTitan, and bundles them.
- You want to try before paying. SpamTitan's 14-day trial needs no credit card, and TitanHQ offers an engineer review of your trial configuration.
- You have 25 or more users anyway, so the minimum doesn't change your bill, and you'd rather buy filtering, archiving and encryption from one vendor.
When iBlockSpam is the better choice
- You have fewer than 25 users. There's no seat minimum, so a 10-person office pays for one domain, not 25 seats.
- You have many mailboxes, shared mailboxes or aliases. Pricing is per domain with unlimited mailboxes and unlimited domain aliases. Each domain includes 100,000 inbound messages a month.
- You want users to manage their own held mail. Every user gets a personal quarantine with digests as often as hourly.
- You want to check your setup first, free. Our free tools don't ask for an email address, and the Email Health Check shows your current MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
- You want prices you can read without a sales call. Prices and limits are on the pricing page, and a domain's first annual subscription has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
- You want to know when your DNS changes. Domain monitoring alerts you if MX, SPF or DMARC drift: weekly on Protect, daily on Plus.
How to switch from SpamTitan
- Run the Email Health Check and save a copy of your current MX, SPF and DMARC records.
- Export your allow and block lists from SpamTitan so you can recreate them.
- Lower your MX record's TTL a day or two ahead.
- Add your domain in iBlockSpam and follow the guided setup for your platform, such as the Microsoft 365 inbound connector with Enhanced Filtering for Connectors, or the Google Workspace inbound gateway.
- Change MX, send test messages and check the headers with the Email Header Analyzer.
- Keep SpamTitan active until the old TTL has passed and it shows no new traffic for your domain, then cancel.
Our migration plan covers each step and the rollback. The vendor-neutral guide to switching spam filter providers explains why mail goes missing during a cutover and how to avoid it.

Frequently asked questions
Does SpamTitan's 25-user minimum apply to a 10-person office?
TitanHQ's pricing data, checked in October 2026, lists SpamTitan at $2.40 per user per month paid annually, with a minimum of 25 users. At list price, a 10-person office would pay for 25 users, which is $60 a month. Ask TitanHQ or a partner whether a different arrangement is available to you.
Does iBlockSpam sandbox attachments like SpamTitan?
No. iBlockSpam filters spam, viruses, malware, phishing and spoofing, and offers attachment-type filters and a Microsoft Office macro filter, but it does not detonate attachments in a sandbox. If sandboxing is a requirement, SpamTitan includes it.
Can I try iBlockSpam the way SpamTitan offers a 14-day trial?
iBlockSpam has no free trial. Instead, a domain's first annual subscription has a 30-day money-back guarantee. You can also run our free tools, such as the Email Health Check, on your domain before you buy. SpamTitan has a 14-day trial, and the vendor says no payment card is needed.
Is SpamTitan archiving included in the $2.40 price?
No. On TitanHQ's pricing page, archiving is a separate product, ArcTitan, listed at $3.94 per user per month paid annually, and encryption is EncryptTitan at $2.40. iBlockSpam keeps 30 days of message history and doesn't offer long-term archiving.
How long does a move from SpamTitan to iBlockSpam take?
The change itself is an MX update plus platform steps, such as a Microsoft 365 inbound connector. Plan it over a few days: lower your MX TTL first, keep SpamTitan active until the old TTL has passed, then cancel. Most domains are set up in one session; that's our aim, not a guarantee.
